Early Morning Whispers

Whispers from an Early Morning Angel

Feelings of love and fragmented visions.
I knew you before I met you.
Little Angel Spirit,
introducing your intentions
before you took your first breath.
Tiny flutters rippling the space within.
Your spirit crossing the boundaries of skin.

Whisking me from a dream.
Waking me when the clock read 3:33.
One time –
    A fluke.
Two times –
    A coincidence.
Too many times to count –
    An early morning routine.

In the twilight hours,
when the Alpha and Omega, unite as one –
your spirit stirred.
Communicating through earthly objects,
and using symbols from the spirit realm,
my mind, you did alert.

A phenomenon that had never happened before.
    Disbelief
        Amusemement
          Awe

The Spirit. Your spirit.
    With
        a whisper quiet enough,
to wake me from the deep.

If not obvious, this poem describes my daughter’s early morning routine, of waking me at 3:33, while I was carrying her. She did not wake me with a kick or a turn, but something else, something mysterious, roused me from my sleep.

As a busy artist, art and technology student, and employee, it is more likely that my daughter is just going to bed at 3:33 A.M., at this point in her life, but her early morning whispers, her beginnings, are part of who she is. It is no surprise to me that she has evolved into a talented artist, whose art transports people to other-worldly realms, because her sensitivities were felt before we met. 🧡

Poetry Project: I am excited to share that my daughter and I are collaborating on a creative project (her drawings and my words). I will share more details, including the title of our project another time, but for now please send us positive creative vibes as we work on intertwining her beautiful art with a collection of my poems (not published on this blog). Thank you. 🙏

50 Life Stories Update: I am working on Story #50. What will become of these 50 stories, is news for another day, because in this moment, I just want to suspend where I am and where I have been.

Thank you for stopping by and reading my poem about my early morning angel whispers. My daughter’s quiet whispers turned into screaming colic three weeks after she was born, but that is the subject for another story. 😉 Have an inspired weekend! Michele

    1. C.F. Leach, Thank you. 🙏 The quiet stillness of the late evening/early morning certainly is an inspired time to pray. I definitely felt connected to spirit whenever my eyes mysteriously opened at that exact time, day after day. 👼❤️

    1. 🙏 Thank you for telling me that, because what seems obvious to me, the writer, may not be to the reader. However, I love multiple interpretations of poems (and most writing, for that matter). That is one of the many wonderful aspects of reading communities-opening our minds to different perspectives. I love teaching poetry for that reason. Every now and then a student would surprise me with their unique perspective. ❤️
