Although my Saturday posts can take a few minutes to read, as my “About” page describes, I also frequently scribble “shorts” during my days. On a post-it note, in my journal, or on scrap paper – I jot down random thoughts. A few lines here and there, that have a moment to shine, then I move on. Sometimes they lead to a longer poem or story that I might share, but rarely do they leave the “short” paper pile.
Until now … I decided to share a few of those scribbles with you today. Enjoy my “shorts” and thank you for reading the longer pieces too. 😊

Do you have a favorite “short”? If so and if you are inclined to share, please leave a comment. No titles included, so an image description or phrase will work. Thank you! I love hearing people share their favorite poem from our chapbook. It is interesting to read what individual readers connect to.

Thank you for visiting my blog and reading seven of my “shorts.” I will keep jotting down thoughts, that show up as a few lines, and share more shorts in the future. I hope that you, your family, and friends are staying healthy and finding ways to celebrate the season. Enjoy your weekend. 🙂 Michele

Thank you! As a gifted and witty writer of the short verse, your feedback means a lot. I enjoyed combining my lines with images – individual scenes and “stories.” I will keep adding to the shorts pile and sharing. 😊 Thanks!

I like all of them! I keep rereading the one on crumpled paper about the disappearing ink. It is a powerful story within a powerful poem. xoxo

You have such a wonderful way with words, dear Michele. I really like your practice of jotting down notes, saving moments & thoughts as a potential road map from which to expound upon…”That which you seek, might be within your reach”. Thank you for sharing, my friend 🌞🌹
