Deep Dive into the Center

Layers removed.
What did cover and hide, now stripped away.
Bare skin. Bare souls.
All that remains.
Free of all they held and all that held them
back. Into the center, they dove.
Into the center – transcendence attained.

The center holds the space
where hearts and souls aligned, match the rhythm of lapping waves.
The center holds the space
that cannot be held by hands or vision, nor can it be contained.
The center holds the space
that cannot be measured, fabricated, or manipulated.

Sacred is the center,
available to all –
a human birthright.

For some, it may take a lifetime (or more) to find
      the space,
that is both infinitely expansive and infinitesimally small
      the space,
that reveals and shares the energy of the cosmos – fuel for volcanos
      the space,
that is the origin of pure love – the beginning of all.

Thank you for visiting and reading. I hope this post finds you enjoying life. 🥰 I enjoyed spending time this week with and helping my friend with her wedding planning.💞 A most gracious thank you to Masticadores Spain for publishing my short story, “Mystery Man Revealed.” A short story I enjoyed writing and one I will continue, thanks to the positive feedback and my adoration for the character, Sherman. Speaking of writing, the Story You Need to Tell online workshops, based on author Sandra Marinella’s book, have been busy – a new one with the Changing Hands bookstore began and one with the Mayo Clinic ended. The last class is when participants share a piece of writing they have been working on. Most often that shows up in the form of a personal narrative. This group’s stories were incredibly powerful. I will miss this group, but I will hold their stories in my heart.💓 If you are new here or if you have been away check out my poetic posts created in my creative space. ✨ Be well. 💗Michele

    1. Funny poet, you are, and perceptive, partly… this happy haploid union can happen a million times without the two gamete carriers finding the sacred space I write about. That is a most magical union. The magic that sparks poetry.

  1. A beautiful invocation to find out centre, Michele:

    ‘The center holds the space
that cannot be measured, fabricated, or manipulated.’

    – so true, and we must try to connect with it as often as possible 🙏❤️🧘‍♀️

  2. Energy in waves greeting the shore, then sharing a gentle caress along sand in return, provide the rhythm in evocation of song from nature. Our nature, beneath layers cloaked in formality, longing to align as one of infinite possibility, unrestrained to share within a space central to love, our essence. I find your poetic prose as I do you, Michele – a beautiful work of art whose content inspires. Thank you for sharing, my friend. 🌞🌹

    1. Thank you, Timothy. I appreciate your feedback. It is amazing what can be found when looking through old videos.😃 I have too much fun taking photos and capturing video – using everything is a PT job, or FT, as you know!

  3. Well girlfriend, you done it again. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Sacredness is the center…oh my goodness. 🙏🏼 It is truly the nucleus that permeates energy throughout the rest of the mind, spirit, and body. That “place” in “space” holds the key to infinite possibilities, and opportunities. I agree with you Michele that this space cannot be quantified…unmeasured transcendence. 💯 📏 🎯

For the free loving spirit that you are, thank you so much for sharing your cherished thoughts and encouragement. Now girlfriend, you know what time ⌛️ it is right??? 💃🏻 🎶 🕺🏻 A FANtabulous weekend is waiting… yours for the taking!!! 🥂

  4. Pure love, is this poem. I love the message, and also appreciate you standing in the reality that it may take a lifetime to reconnect with that space, yet it is always available and within us, even when we don’t know. Beautiful poem, Michele. Happy Saturday! 🥰❤️

    1. Cherished comments, thank you, Jeff. I did feel tapped in to pure love when I started writing that poem, and definitely by the time I finished – a poem that hijacked my mind. In a good way. 😁 I am sure you know the feeling… when a poem grabs hold of you and won’t let you do anything else, until it moves through you. ✨ Thank you so much and happy weekending to you! 💝 🌞

  5. Your lines flow into each other, Michele, and complement the motion of diving into the center of something as delightful and sacred as poetry. The third stanza connects with me most as it feels like a complete thought within a piece that is also complete.

    1. Jaya, your ability to notice and describe subtleties is an intuitive gift. Writing this poem, last Friday, felt like being pulled into a fast flowing river. I appreciate your comment about the third stanza – I do agree and I feel that could apply to several life scenarios. Thank you for the visit, gifted writer. ✨
