Dancing with Dragonflies

the perfection
of colors blended
from earth and sky

the crunch
a different song

the sweetness
of plants
I cannot name

the truth
of beauty
grown not made

the sensation
of joy
touch my lips

the fabric
of separateness
begin to tear

the need
to need
anything else

I am
with dragonflies

Westward, I go. Next stop, the coast. Thank you for visiting! Be well. πŸ’— Michele

    1. Well, that is quite a lovely comparison. Thank you, Phil. They blend so well, it is hard to capture the tiny ones with a lens, even when there are dozens of them. Best to put down the camera and dance! Have a wonderful Friday! 🌻

    1. Thank you, Jessica. I appreciate your visit and comment. 😊 That is one of three poetry collections I published during the pandemic – illustrated by my artist daughter. πŸ’ž Thank you for asking. The novel I am working on is in the editing stage. 😁

      1. You’re very welcome. That’s pretty cool, I was just chatting with a friend this morning about being empowered. 🌻

I opened the book on the Amazon Kindle preview, got 2 lines into the first poem and clicked β€œBuy Now.”

      3. Thank you, Jessica! Extending abundant gratitude for you. πŸ’– Your feedback is very important to me. I turned “Becoming You” into a video presentation/audio poem. ✨ Here is the link: https://myinspiredlife.org/2022/02/26/becoming-you-video-poem/

I would be most honored and grateful if you were to write an Amazon review on the Becoming collection. Thank you in advance for your time and interest in other collections. A labor of love they were. πŸ’ž

Honey Michele, what a beautiful poem, and these last lines said it all. Dragonflies are some awesome creatures. I love how they hover in the air like a remote control drone. And your photos are priceless. πŸ“Έ I love the pop of color. This place is so tranquil and inviting.

This is such a jolt of nature-inspired love πŸŒΊπŸ’πŸŒ»πŸŒΉπŸŒΌ that added to my grass cutting and yard duty today! LOL πŸ˜˜πŸ’–πŸ€©πŸ’‹πŸ₯°

    1. Thank you for the smiles, Kymbelina. 😁 A perfect description of the little creatures! I was surrounded by dozens of tiny drones near the water’s edge. An amazing sight! Yes, the pinks and purples are gorgeous. Breathtaking in the sunlight! Grass cutting and yard duty sound breathtaking too, for different reasons. πŸ˜† I am sure your yard is amazing! 😍 I will be right over for some lemonade. 😁 That would be lovely. Enjoy your weekend, lovely. Don’t work too hard! πŸ˜… πŸ€—πŸ˜˜ 😎

    1. How kind you are! Thank you very much, Tom. I had a wonderful time taking photos and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Those collections were a labor of love – me the poet and my daughter the artist. πŸ’ž Best to you!

    1. Thank you, Dwight! I am glad you enjoyed my post. I love your comment! I suppose you could say the dragonfly was my guide and dance partner. πŸ’ž The refollow- I don’t know why that happens?? That has also happened to me with others. Thanks for following me, again. 😁 Enjoy your weekend!

    1. Thank you very much, Aaysid. πŸ’— Yes, they are! The one in my photo was interesting – with the naked eye, the transparent part of its wings looked like a void. Only through the photo could I see the intricate webbing of its see-through wings. Thank you for the visit!
