I was surprised when one of my closest friends, told me she would be moving… to the same area as my daughter, a few states away. Spending the day with my friend, Patricia – laughing, talking, shopping, eating, driving, beaching, selfie-ing, sight-seeing, and reminiscing, made for an extraordinary day.   1. I recognize this area! It’s my favorite spot on Planet Earth–Heceta Head Lighthouse! I lived in Salem, OR for a while in the mid-’90s and fell in love with the coast. It’s gorgeous beyond words. What a pleasant surprise this morning to see the lighthouse in your post. Thanks for this, Michele–it made my day. 🙂

I love being here, especially with AZ temps reaching over 100 degrees next week. 😢 What a beautiful lighthouse – I was told by a local merchant that it is the most photographed lighthouse in the world. I can neither confirm nor deny this. You might know. I am so honored to have made your day. I hope it only gets better! 😁

    1. I cherish my visits to this part of the country. It has been raining for two days – I don’t mind at all. 😄 I imagine your lighthouse photos are gorgeous! Long-time friends are a gift. I am blessed to have several close friends from my childhood. Life may take us in different directions, but we have remained close and get together on occasion. 💞 I am glad you like the quote – it is a good one! Thank you very much!     1. Much gratitude for you, Jaya. Thank you for mentioning that! I don’t pay attention to those things until WP alerts me. 😆 How right you are! I saw that “200” notice and had similar thoughts… thinking about my first few blog posts, where I was (emotionally) during that time and how much has changed in my life since then, often reflected in my writing. Nothing is perfect, but WP is a nice platform that allows us to create, express, and connect with other creatives. 💖 Publication day will be a celebration and yes, it will be wonderful to celebrate that experience together! 💞

    1. Thanks, Jeff! I had fun living and creating it! 😁 Florence is a lovely beach town – several shops, art shops, and restaurant options. All of that and an ocean nearby… not too bad! Escaping to the heat – an hour in Phoenix and you might reconsider. haha I get it – feels like winter temps here. haha Yes, the Wounds I Healed – Strong Women discussion was a treat!
