Saturday Shorts – Her Cottage by the Sea

Looking through my beach photos from Florence, Oregon turned my attention toward my Her Cottage by the Sea poems (links below). I am sharing a few excerpts from those poems, in the form of “shorts.” Those sensual poems, written last year, were inspired by my poem, “a Writer’s Dream.” 🌊

Book project update: I completed my second book draft while in Oregon. 🎉 My updated draft is now with my editor, who will need a few weeks to complete a second read. Another page turned in my birthing a book journey! Thank you for visiting and reading! Be well. 💗Michele

      1. “A morning spent tracing curves
        With slow and deliberate fingertips
They release a power that contradicts…”

Fantastic opening lines Michelle, really sets the tone! 😁👍 Very sensual like you mention in the poem and evocative too! 😁👍 Delighted that your book editing is progressing nicely! 😁👏👏

  1. Such a treat at the beach, in the sun and the sand. Old friends, new memories – with camera in hand! Yes, I recall your lovely words of love! 💓 Not something one can easily forget, unlike the date of a birthday…whoops, my bad. Happy (belated) Birthday, beautiful Michele! 🌞🌹

    1. Those are some fine lines, photographer Phil. Thank you. 🙏🏻 No “whoops” necessary. I did not write a birthday reflection this year, but I appreciate you remembering. You must have a master birthday calendar for bloggers. 😆 Enjoy your weekend! 🌞
