You made it!
(I am elated)
I hope you brought your appetite!
Let me look at you.
Oh, what a beautiful sight!
Let me take your bag.
Hope it’s light to carry and free of worries.

Have a seat,
next to my orange tree,
under swaying bulbs burst from flowers, fragrant.
There’s a chill in the air… do you feel it?
A desert breeze carrying the scent of desert sage
and remnants of jasmine… do you smell it?
Let me hold you tight
Let me breathe you in
Let me fetch you some hot tea
with honey and a lemon squeeze.
Let’s skip the fuss and start with dessert first, shall we?
A slice of warm apple pie
(fresh from the oven).
You timed that just right!
My grandma’s recipe slightly modified –
sprinkled with jazz and infused with my love.

You don’t have to say a word
You don’t have to prove your worth
You don’t have to try
You just need to be
yourself

You are welcome
here
with me
next to my sacred
sweet tree.

Oh my goodness Michele my Belle, this reads like the trailer to a movie. 🎥🎬📽 I can imagine you sitting in your yard, legs crossed, fanning cool air across your face, as you sip on a glass of lemonade, watching this familiar face gliding down the walkway. Girl, this is quite a sensual read. And honey what a delightful musical accompaniment from Ella and Louis. Drop the mic…this was a good one girlfriend. 💃🏼🎶👯‍♀️🎺🎵💃🏽
