Wishing you a happy and healthy week. 🌞 It’s going to be a busy one!
A springtime evening breeze, carrying a hint of jasmine and a whisper of hope. Each step erasing years. Walking forward toward my past. A teenager who walked everywhere. Sometimes with friends. Sometimes solo. With laughs or with thoughts alone. Never with a phone. Walking, walking, walking. One foot in front of the other, and a spirit light, will get you where you need to go.
Sometimes we need to getaway, even for a few days, to find our focus and ourselves again. ✨
From atop a horse I saw them in the field below… a breathtaking display of gorgeous pink wildflowers. 🌸 I found heaven when I crouched with them. 💗 Visit tumbleweedspirit.com for audio poems, videos, recitations, poems, and more. ✨
After submitting my manuscript to my editor I needed some time outdoors. I found it! 🐴 I had a wonderful time riding sweet Petey, a quarter horse from Canada. ☀️ Visit my blog, “tumbleweedspirit.com” for a reading of “Say this of Horses”
19 months, 45 chapters, 84,736 words… first draft done! My manuscript is now with an editor. 😅 No time to rest though, much more to do in this creative book writing business. 🤓💭✍🏻✨ I have laughed, cried, been surprised and exhausted by it. I have also fallen in love with the process. 💗 Visit tumbleweedspirit.com (“Write Path”) for more about my writing journey and hundreds of poems, stories, and more. ✌️
Sunday escape to Tonto Natural Bridge AZ State Park. No theme park could ever compare to Mother Nature’s natural beauty. 🏜
May my legacy be one of the beauty I shared through my poems and stories, even when they are painful, through my love of movement that I almost lost after an accident, and through my compassion for others. Those are the gifts I hope to leave my daughter, not too many boxes of things I owned. For the remainder of my life, which I hope is a long one, may I continue to create more and consume less. ✨
